Donald J. Trump, 45th president of the United States of America |
OPINION
by Michael Corthell
Incredible, as in: difficult to believe; extraordinary. Synonymous with: unbelievable, beyond belief, hard to believe, unconvincing, far-fetched, implausible, improbable, highly unlikely, dubious, and doubtful.
Yes, incredible is the first and last word to describe the man who is Donald J. Trump as president of the United States of America. An America that once was the shining lamp of hope and freedom for all the world to see and emulate.
America currently is in a state of disbelief, except of course for Trump's true believers who comprise about 22% of the population of voters. Even with that dismal mandate, this president could bring down our country by fracturing the Constitution. He could, but even if he doesn't, our nation has now become impotent in the eyes of the rest of the world.
''Mr. Trump's behavior is destroying our country.
The 25th amendment should be invoked today.''
Yesterday, the press hit back at the president for his childish and misogynistic tweets. Clearly and plainly the fourth branch of government is royally pissed off. The other two branches should take note. In the 2018 mid-term election many will be cast out of office for their turning a blind eye to this evil thing that became our 45th president.
Some quotes:
''The president’s unhealthy obsession with “Morning Joe” does not serve the best interests of either his mental state or the country he runs. Despite his constant claims that he no longer watches the show, the president’s closest advisers tell us otherwise. That is unfortunate. We believe it would be better for America and the rest of the world if he would keep his 60-inch-plus flat-screen TV tuned to “Fox & Friends.”'' - Morning Joe program
''This has to stop,'' "It's unworthy of the office of President of the United States, and I am concerned about how we look in the eyes of the world as well as our own citizens."
- Senator Susan Collins, R- Maine.
"It's a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job," - Lorie Acio, MSNBC
Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump has felt "frustration" over the "barrage of fake news" and the use of unnamed sources in news reports. Trump is the liar, not the news media in general. Most of the free press in the country report the facts of what is going on, period. The facts along with editorial opinion, make up the news.
Mr. Trump is delegitimizing the presidency one Tweet at a time. As we approach America's 241st birthday. We have a president like no other-- ever, a man who is all about himself and his needs and his concerns. A narcissist and a mad man. A man who seems to hate everything our country stands for.
Our past presidents were often flawed human beings who made questionable moral choices, JFK and Nixon for example. But at least they tried to keep their anger and most of their immoral thoughts private, something that Mr. Trump can't seem to do.
Mr. Trump's tweeting yesterday was a continuation of his outrageous behavior that threatens not only our country, but the peace of our entire planet. Our Congress and courts must do the right thing. We the People are growing very impatient with this evil that has overshadowed our land.
We do not have to know why Mr. Trump is our president any longer. All we need to know is that any benefit that he can bring to our nation is far outweighed by his moral deficiency -- his evil.
He needs to immediately resign or be immediately removed by the Vice President, a Cabinet majority and Congress as per the 25th amendment.
